THE TRIP

Ed and Esther versus the World

Flying island-style. No hands; bare feet!

View from our seaplane - pockets of turquoise gems; brilliant in the depths of the Indian Ocean - nothing like we have ever seen before. Simply breathtaking.

Fast approaching our home for the next week!

Home sweet home!

Assalaamu alaikum!

You guessed it, phrase one (“hello”) from our Dhivehi phrase book!

Upon arriving on the island, we stroll its entire 3.5km perimeter. Sand crabs dance delicately around our bare feet which, with every step, become progressively lost in the powder, white sand. Off to a good start!

ID (ie, internal dialogue): Hm, too much poetry? Present tense, more engaging? Still finding the right voice for this blog.

N2A (ie, note to audience): Please be forgiving to this newbie blogger!
